Why Mindset Matters

Mindset is what I focus most on in dealing with the mindset of leadership. The setting point is also the settling point. The Bible says, Isaiah 26:3 “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace because your mind (set) is stayed on me."

Fixed mindsets revolve often around "I can’t" instead of "I can." They are mistakenly accepted as inherited or cast off as “that’s just the way I am or the organization is." They are often characterized by being a kind of "Plain Jane" thinker with very little energy. They struggle with the struggle and are not seen as over comers. These same people find it hard to see how Big God is and His promises are for us. The

ordinary is never to become the extraordinary. These people often need great encouragement and praise for their accomplishment to continue.

Growth mindset can be learned and strengthened with practice. We all have certain things we are gifted and talented with. But in changing our mindsets from a losers limp to a winners walk, we must seek to strengthen our mindset and see things differently.

Gods ways are different than mans. And this mindset sets us into all whole new orbit. “Only his light shall we “see” and be exposed. It must be the work by the Spirit, not out of our own mind.” The famous Bible scholar Watchman Nee is credited with this. He has a great understanding of scripture and the power of the Spirit of God living in us. The gift of the holy Spirit is an added advantage for all Christians.

We can enjoy the revelation God has given us that enables us to see what God sees. Our possibilities are a mindset of limitation, but His is without limitations. This should drive us to our knees but also help us to realize who it is that lives in us. Such a view should deliver you from the dead weight of self. The Holy Spirit breaks you down and builds you up. It is the added advantage to our mindset of enlightenment. God

exposes our real selves. The time of enlightenment is also a time for believing.

Watchman Nee said, “everything is measured by God for us." God has predetermined boundaries and the forces of nature. He has breakthrough power for the barriers in our thinking. Do we try to impress the people with our mindset or His?
