Purpose and Drive in Life
What can we learn from leaders who subscribe to this proposition? What has brought some ministries back from the brink of failure, and what are the differences that have helped to accelerate success?
With the right purpose, values and goals, people around the leader will be and remain engaged.
So, the question you may be asking is how do you think and express your purpose and how do you deliver that to the team?
How are you building new leaders and getting engagement in ministry?
Studies show you must build strong relationships and inspire and motivate team members; an encouraging heart leads to an encouraged soul. Giving people a greater sense of purpose will definitely be the first step in having a positive thrust forward.
The big question is, do the followers have a sense of organizational purpose and how they fit into it?
Oswald Chambers in his book, "His Upmost For The Highest" says what I think many of us who are wanting to fit in say to ourselves. “Some people (organizations) do certain things and the way they do it hallows that thing. It may be the most common place thing.”
My friends, we have the greatest message of all time to tell. Nothing is more important! It is life changing; Jesus’s birth and resurrection and eternal life with Him separated unto God! Add to this hope, peace, joy and so much more.
Because we work with children- we get the added joy of seeing children delivered from desperation and enslavement to sin. God offers nothing but the best for our children who love, honor and serve Him. What could be a better purpose? Think about a young life touched by Gods spirit and revel in God’s glory.
The need to teach leadership and establish the leaders of the future is the best way to multiply the reach of ministry. The best way to acquire the needed finances is to share how God is working, and what part others can play in the overall vision and purpose. This is why the attitudes of mavericks usually means doing some things different and letting go of the reigns of regulatory controls and ministry “guidelines“ often impetuous for growth. This does not mean rules are to be broken and authority overlooked, but it does mean a willingness to listen and hear the appeals for change.
Purpose is even wider in scope. Purpose is not only about why we exist, it is also about resolve, determination, drive and commitment. It’s all boils down to intent and engagement.
