“For I am persuaded, that neither death , nor life, nor angels , nor principalities, nor POWERS, nor things to come, nor height or depth, nor any CREATURE, shall be able to separate us from the of GOD, which is Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39
When Paul wrote this verse he was writing it to the people of God.
“There is nothing that makes the scriptures more precious than captivity.” A quote from my devotional this morning as we face the possibility of change in leadership and the reality of leftist ideology governing America.
Brace yourselves for what is coming – take refuge in the rock of your salvation. Look up and know this is part of a bigger plan. Remember and celebrate the years of blessing and peace we have been blessed to live. Freedom may disappear and something else may become a reality.
Are you ready? Know there is always a benefit to captivity for the Christian. You may ask how – it is because we know that God is sovereign and will take care of His own. He has promised to never leave us and one day take us to eternal glory. You can trust Him and know God is good and will never leave you. Walk in the spirit of God. Pray fervently for the souls of the lost, and remember Jesus' words on the cross, “Father forgive them for they know not what they do.” Flee to God and take refuge under His wings. “We will always find more in Him than we have ever known. It is through trials and affliction that God will give us a fresh revelation of himself.” The Streams in the
Desert by L.B. Cowen. Man has always thought himself so smart and does not need God. America has sent a message and now we begin a new page in history. You cannot mock God and violate His wishes. God has over and over in history responded with judgement and bondage. I am fearful we have reached the tipping point and it is time for us to ask God to bring a repentant heart to the people of
America. For those of you who have not yet put your faith in Jesus - now has never been a better time to do so. Please know God loves you and wants you to be with him in peace in heaven. But Sin has separated you from a perfect God, and you cannot go to heaven except if you believe or trust that Jesus, His son, died on the bloody cross and was buried and rose again for you. And wants you to be one of his children and enjoy the life after this one in heaven. To believe means to commit and to abandon all that is not related to that commitment. No Calamity will ever bring evil to us as children of God, especially if we're praying fervently and living our lives, as this is not our final home. Do you have an eternal prospective to life? The devotional continued to speak to me. “In order to receive any benefit from captivity, we must accept the situation and determine to make the best of it. Worrying over what we have lost or what has been taken from us will not make things better but will only prevent us from improving what remains.” L.B.Cowen
Kirk Cameron, the actor said, “I think if someone had said to us six months ago, There is a virus that’s going to shut down every business, you’re not going to be able to go to church for Easter, and your kids are not going to graduate from high school and they will not be able to start school in the fall, I think we would of said, 'that’s nuts. You’re crazy. What kind of conspiracy theory person are you?' And here we are today.”
Who would of ever thought that the most liberal of liberals would be knocking on the door of America? Who ever thought we would be as a nation fiddling with the idea of communism? Pray for America and that evil will be suppressed. Know that God rules and His will not be thwarted. The socialist government will establish a system where government is their God. The people who voted for this have believed a lie that socialists will resolve their problems, but the government will take their freedom. You may be the generation who has brought the worst decisions to the door of America.
Pray for repentant hearts in the churches and pastors who will speak the truth.
Joni Erickson Tada, who has lived a life in physical captivity says, “Jesus will not liberate us
from our quandary He’s put us in except to have us follow Him and His example.”
