God Is Good All The Time And All The Time God Is Good!!
One of my wife's favorite sayings.
This is true, goodness is one of God's Unchanging attributes. So if God is so good, why do bad things happen to good people?
How can God be;
1. All knowing (omniscient )
2. All powerful (omnipotent)
3. Everywhere present (omnipresent)
4. All loving
...and cause or allow bad things to happen to His people?
We live in a world where human trafficking, rape, murder, disease, natural disasters ( floods, earthquakes, hurricanes etc.) accidents, and falls are so common they often do not even make the news. No matter how bad you may have it- you can always point to someone who has it worse. Where is Gods goodness in all this?
Because we live in a fallen world ..tainted by sin ,everything has a fallen condition. The world we live in is abnormal ...Gods original choice for man was much different. We are sold a bill of goods that life is nothing but chance and luck. We as human beings think we are so smart but when you juxtapose man alongside God there is little comparison. We are so limited in our understanding. We can see so little of the picture of life. Our view is the same view the "great sea going vessel" had of the iceberg as it sank deep into the ocean grave. Icebergs can be so deceiving. The top in view is just a small part of the big picture.
God's promises are real and He keeps them all. If we could only see the whole picture and realize; He promises " to never leave or forsake us." He is always working on our behalf...He says in Phillipians ..." Be anxious for nothing but with prayer and supplication let your request be know unto God and peace that passeth all understanding is available to us as we trust Him."
Living by faith in the One who loves us and is reigning in heaven is a key to answer this big question...God is in total control! This is our opportunity to live our lives not by sight but by trusting and obeying God. - no matter what comes our way. II Corinthians 5:7 " We live by faith and not by sight.
