Respect Who God Is

God is a God of grace and mercy – God is a God of wrath! Refusing to trust God and His promises leads to judgement. America may be facing the wrath of God as we stray from the truth of God’s word. We as a people and as a nation have allowed sin to be relabeled and homogenized. The things we once called sin we just decided to repackage and call good for all. We now see the devil having a heyday as he foments hate, lies, division, strife and chaos. Through it all, Gods grace and mercy shines through the heavy fog that lays its weight on the soul of this country. God’s grace is available to anyone who trusts and obeys- it is still available for the asking! God is a God of love and wants you and I to be in heaven someday with Him, so He sent His only son, Jesus, into the world so we could be rescued from our sinful self. To those who accept this gift by believing and trusting Him, He gives us an additional gift, the ADDED ADVANTAGE – His Holy Spirit to live inside us. He wants and helps us to be different, to be lights in a world that has yet to know Him. Rebellion leads to God’s judgement. History has example after example where the choices led to defeat and bondage. The old testament record of the Israelite's is a great example of a nation that had been blessed, and even freed from slavery and bondage, then began to question and complain, and finally rebel. God did not allow them to enter the promised land. Challenging the TRUTH of God or attempting to re-write the truth to fit your own truths will prove to be disastrous. When a society decides expectations and truth as their own, this can only lead to desolation and wandering in the desert of life. The majority can be wrong! Or the minority can be made to look like the majority. Moses told the Israelite's “Only don’t rebel against the Lord, and don’t be afraid of the people of the land….” We as Americans are suffering from short term memory. We have forgotten and twisted what is the TRUTH. We have raised a generation of people who no longer believe in God. In the book of Judges, the lament of Joshua was “And there arose another generation after them who did not know the Lord …" Judges 2:10 As Christians, we need to recall and renew focus, rather than the distraction of false “truths”. The results can be disastrous, as we the believers fall into the trap of taking our eyes off the ball. The mighty Word of God is Truth! Jesus says,”I am the truth, the way, and the life; no one comes to the Father but by me.” We must stop and listen and watch! Are we falling for the philosophies of the worlds new beliefs? Are we turning to Google, Alexa, and the politics of the day without weighing any of it against Scripture? Watch out for false witnesses. We need to trust God for the results. Refusing to trust God is rebellion against God. God never wants His name belittled or misrepresented. Human logic can be wrong – God is never wrong! “The sinful actions of one generation influences the spirituality and morality of succeeding generations.” Life Way The children are the key to revival and renewal of our nation. What are we doing to reach the next generation for Christ? We all need to pray more and give more, but even more, we must remember our choices and beliefs will affect our children and grand children. Make righteous choices; ask yourself what can I do today to reach the children in my community? Churches need to reevaluate how you see reaching children. People who are waiting for the call, now is the time to get involved. Opportunity can take on many forms – The ministry needs board members, trained teachers, ministry “disciple's”, artists, writers, promoters, fund raisers, secretarial help, administrative skills and governance experts. The ministry needs book keepers and accountants, motivators and mavericks, and prayer warriors. The ministry needs you! The ministry needs funds! Pray about sending a special gift to Child Evangelism Fellowship so more children will know, love and honor God. The ministry often needs help with transportation, and those who can help with snacks and rewards for the Good News Clubs. The ministry can use trained people to work with the challenged and disabled children. The ministry needs and wants fun adults with hearts for the children. Calling all former Christian school teachers, retired pastors and retired grandparents! Our children and grand children need your wisdom and your help. Our children need you! Let it never be said again “there arose a generation that knew not God”. God calls us you use the skills and talents we have been blessed with, but are we listening? If we as Christians “will humble ourselves and pray God promise is He will heal our land.” But if we do decide not to bend the knee and humble ourselves and turn back to God, we can trust God even the worst happens, we can trust God. – just threaten me with heaven! How about you?
