There Is A Danger In Slowing Down

Willliam Vogel

I’ve been blessed to have observed many different leadership styles. Some have been extremely successful and I can tell you the one thing that the most successful had in common. No, it was not the work ethic alone, nor did it involve attitude completely. It was the underlying notion or fear of slowing down and plateauing. They always seemed to focus on what I will for the sake of a better term title 1+1=3. They all believed in combining knowledge and recognized a whole is bigger than its parts. They knew how to apply known success with another idea. They had a deep recognition that the best ideas don’t always come from you. They made it a point not to waste resources, time or opportunities. They had a “just hold a meeting” attitude. When ever they saw or felt the organization was losing steam and direction, they would hold a meeting with leadership and “reinstall” the vision and direction, as well as reach out to create Esprit De Corps settings in the organization. They reset the internal settings within the the leadership that will be responsible for passing on the vision in new and refreshing ways. This can become a time to rethink your business or organizational model. This is also good time to market and create. The most important aspect of this is often increasing and strengthening personal relationships. Don’t allow yourself to get stuck in the muck. It does not do you or others any good, it only leads to depression and ungratefulness. There will always be times of ebbs and flows, and even some slow downs in what you are doing, but the best thing to do when this happens is to HOLD A MEETING and start something. Build people, and people will build the business or ministry. Build leaders because leadership is everything. Mindset is the key to all growth in any business or organization. You choose, is it going to be limited or is it going to be power packed? Now the question is how are you going to deliver the message and when? My suggestion is HOLD A MEETING.
