Christianity transforms you first, then it transforms your practices. Through Change of heart comes the change to culture. Today we are confronted with attitudes of entitlement. The current trend is to do the least, but expect and even worse demand the most. When children receive anything they want we are feeding this feeling of entitlement- and feelings of gratitude fall by the wayside. I can’t believe how many children today rarely lift a finger to help their parents - even with household chores. Parents today rescue their children from everything as the little narcissists who are no longer responsible strive to get what they believe they deserve. What do we do? Our chief aim should be to shine bright and seek to change hearts through Jesus Christ anywhere and with everyone. The same spirit that touched your life can and does touch children. Charles Spurgeon, the great evangelist preacher wrote, “A child of five, if properly instructed, can readily come to know Christ as their personal Savior as an adult.” So parents and church leaders, that is the starting point. We must give them the invitation to respond, because without Christ there is no Lordship. We tell the children “Now that you know Jesus as your Savior, make Him the boss of your life.” This is What is missing in the lives of so many who call themselves Christian - fruit and Godly living. The interesting fact is the most fruitful mission field in all the world and yet the most neglected is children. The majority of people who are in our churches were saved before our 15th Birthday. It is estimated as much as 83% of the people who are currently in our churches today were saved before there 15th birthday. Our children are establishing their worldview by age 12. What they believe and what they accept is pretty well established by age 12. How old are your kids and what are they going to believe? The greatest mystery of life is who we are. Teach your children and influence the next generation in the Truth of God’s Word. Teach your children to reach for high quality so they will represent Christ well. Teach your children to set high standards because God wants them to. Teach them to work and do their best because they are followers of Christ. Teach them to glorify God in everything they do. Be like Jesus in everything they do. “Do everything Heartily and enthusiastically.” Teach your children that whatever they do, do it for the glory of God ...live life to PLEASE GOD wherever He puts them. Job, business, school, friends etc. Teach them to present God attractively to others. Philippians 2:14-15 “For it is God who works in you to will and act on behalf of His good pleasure. Do everything without complaining or arguing. So that you may be blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and perverse generation in which you shine as lights of the world.” Teach them the anticipation of an inheritance in Christ with God eternally in heaven. 1 Corinthians 15:18 “We are being transformed into His image with ever increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is Spirit” Philippians 3:20 “But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ.” Teach your children that God Himself will take care of their needs and he promises to never to leave or forsake them. Christianity rocked the world and today still does. It permeated the cultural of the world. Sinful practices become redeemed practices. We are blessed to be on the front line as we watch God touch these little lives, respond to the call of God, and give their lives to Christ. It is thrilling to watch the adopt lives that reflect the Lordship of Christ in their lives. www.Bbexcellentadventure.com and www.cefonline.com It is important to keep in mind today’s Child is getting powerful messages in our society. Children are being led to believe they’re entitled to receive. The mediocre is replaced by excellence. The teachers and professors of much of our universities today are producing the teachers who teach in our elementary, jr. high and high schools. Recently, you may have seen the children being used as pons by a political party in a policy discussion with Senator Diane Feinstein, in which the children were encouraging the senator from California to vote for the new very liberal socialist Green Deal. I was stunned as I watched the children parrot what they were being taught and to watch as they bought the new religion of the left. These kids truly feared the end of the world in less than 12 years and they touted this in cult-like manner. It made me think about what we as parents and grandparents are feeding to our children to offset all those hours in school. Check this out: www.turningpointUSA.net to see a USA professor watchlist and read what indoctrination may be ahead for our children. Then if you add social media to the list of influences, one must consider a very important question - What are we teaching our children? What impact does God have on your children? What bold impact spiritually do you and I have on our children or grandchildren? What impact does the church have on the unsaved and saved children in their communities? Be bold and have a bold impact on the lives around you. Have you considered the little lives and your bold and lasting impact on them?
