Today all over the world, Christians gather to glorify the God of their salvation. Young, old, brown, black, yellow and white, all Unified under the banner of one living Lord. They praise and worship, often singing the same song in a different language. They study the same Word of God in their own distinct language, yet understanding the words of one truth. It is amazing to see them worshiping as God has revealed Himself to each one of them. Whether they speak another language or have grown up in another cultural environment, the same Holy Spirit that touched your life and now lives in you, lives in them. Some meet under a shade tree, some meet in an abandoned barn; others in a simple church building, and some in an underground bunker . They meet to worship the king of all kings. Some freely and others under threat of death . In a world of unrelenting change there is one thing we can count on as constant, without shifting - GOD. In Him we find stability in an off balance world, just as so many around the world do. The number of believers grows moment by moment, hour by hour, as the Holy Spirit seals them into the kingdom of God. Both adults as well children are giving their hearts and souls over to the almighty, all knowing and everywhere Savior of mankind. John 16:33. “I have told you these things, so that you may have peace and confidence. In the world you will have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer, for I have overcome this world.” As Beth and I travel to other nations, tribes, and people from all over, we are aware of God’s sovereign love for all of mankind and the church universal. It is just a peek at what is inside the Heaven's gate. As we listen and mouth the words in our own language to the harmony of beautiful Choir singing a tune we recognize, the words reach to heaven in a language we cannot understand. The feeling of oneness under a banner of love is amazing. As we sit in a church thousands of miles away from our own, we are struck with the reality of how God is working mightily everywhere. Hebrews 13:8. Says, “ Jesus Christ is same yesterday today and tomorrow.” We praise God for giving us even the slightest glimpse of the unity of His kingdom.
