Stay Grounded While You Embrace Change

We are living in a fast paced world. Rapid changes in technology threaten privacy and access. Old formulas are being replaced by new formulas. There are forces trying to remake our world. Fear, opportunity, challenge and uneasy feelings dominate our minds today as we are living with much uncertainty. Just today, my account was blocked on Facebook as censure has replaced the book burning of the past. Personal expression and freedom are being defined by a few who are now the ”material and truth police.” Just yesterday in England, parliament suggested a New law requiring 6 month prison sentence for anyone speaking against anyone’s gender, sexual orientation or the Muslim religion. Colleges are putting in place “bias police” and safe zones, all to protect young people from the realities of life and different points of view. When people succeed today , many have a real challenge of keeping their egos in check. So many of our leaders today are arrogant and think themselves invincible. Respect and doing things for purpose and value are often found to be replaced by mans own belief in his own value and his own worth. Man is still seeking to be God themselves. This will never happen!! And they know it ... We are watching a world implode as we see man walking away from principle and practice that honor God. Instead we see redefining of terms and ideals taking hold and being moved ahead by a most willing media. For someone not grounded in the truth, it is easy to be drawn away from time tested messages of the Truth....that would make “the deceiver” very happy. If you love the Lord with all your heart, soul and mind you will live above it rather than in it. Pleasing God is more important than pleasing yourself. That day they crucified my Savior, the shame of sin was dismissed forever, and today I live so the world can know Him. The Bible is the “unfettered truth” of God. The Word of God is plain and simple, available to make life easier for those who believe. This does not mean life is without challenges, it isn’t. The reality is the one who knows Jesus as their Savior just has another focus and the peace of God in that surpasses all understanding. 1. Values start in the home. Nurture and love starts in the home. Spiritual upbringing starts in our homes. We also learn to live with others. It is in the home we learn love. (What is happening to homes and families today?) What is the acceptable definition of marriage, gender and families today? What is God's view of these issues which are under attack today.? What do you believe? 2, God fearing Churches were one day honored and cherished as places of worship and a place to learn and grow Godly foundations for our families. Services were once full of growth. What is happening in church attendance today? What is your perception of church? Do you attend regularly? Why? Or Why not? 3: The fear of the Lord. “Respect“ was taught and expressed as the beginning of wisdom. And the leaders knew in that reality there was a universal leader, the one and only God and we needed his blessing. There was also a healthy respect of the hand of wrath of God. 4. Is the fact that Christian values have permeated society make things better for you or show greater concern to you? The Bible (the world's best selling book in history) makes it plain and simple; we are called to be salt and light to a dying and sinful world. Matthew 5: 13-16. Says, “you are the salt of the earth...you are atheist light of the world ... In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your father in heaven.” You can choose to believe the truth of God's word, or God forbid you may be added to a deadly chorus of the many crying out for the mountains to cover them as Jesus triumphantly returns for those who know love and obey Him. Ready for an Eternal change?
