Be A Change Maker

Be A Change Maker You may recognize where the business or ministry needs to improve and change, and even sense the vision. The question is how do you get there? The haunting question for most leaders is; How do you change things? Determination is a good starting point, but that alone will not lead to accomplishment or results. Often times, especially young leaders or new leaders, sit at the starting line, wheels spinning, but never seem to get enough traction to speed down the racetrack to any sort of finish line. Their early success often fades almost as quickly as they started. Many times a leader is driven by the vision, which is so important, but too much emphasis is placed on personal ambition, and the leader loses focus of those around them. Ambition is a great and essential element for success but it must be grounded in virtue and values. Vision and dreams must have Godly boundaries if there is to be longevity to the opportunity. The immediate needs to be tethered by the rope of integrity to insure the future of the business or ministry. Today, America and its people have become pragmatists and it is getting harder and harder for us to find the leadership to lead ethically and justly. So much leadership today could be called relativistic leadership. Integrity and principle is lacking. If we are not careful the honest man may become extinct, just as the dinosaurs. Achievement can become an idol and everything that leads you to that can be justified. Leaders often demand accountability from their followers but fail to look at what they are doing and hold themselves accountable before God. Always ask, who speaks truth into your life? What keeps you grounded as as leader? Your purpose is a defining point to understand leadership. Very few leaders understand their life's purpose. I encourage all leaders to live lives, where God is at the top of their priority list. The best leaders with ultimately the best results are leaders that truly love, honor and serve God. I recently saw this quote " your internal passion determines external reach. Your heart will shape the actions of your heart." Not sure who the author of it is but it says it all. Nurture spiritual development daily. Are you as a leader looking at and evaluating your personal values? Leaders are best defined by their inner beings which is made up of their convictions, beliefs, and values. They are actively moving ahead with faith which can often be called "risk taking faith." You take risks and exercise your faith. This is because these leaders know who to place their faith in. These leaders understand the advantage of the Holy Spirit controlling their lives. Stay true to the truth no matter what. Accomplish the great and do it right and you will look back at your life with great satisfaction and with little or no regrets. I am praying for a whole new generation of change makers.. teach principled living "God's Word" to everyone you come in contact with, especially our children. Watch things change!
