How Attitude Affects Your Effectiveness Think on these things; " Finally brethren, whatsoever things are TRUE, whosoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of a good report, if there be any virtue, and there be any praise, think on these things." Then he says, "Those things, which he have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, DO: and the God of PEACE shall be with you."Philippians 4:6-9 We all desire good things and good results in our lives. In our world still tainted by sin we can expect both good and bad. Most of us are looking for happiness. But the pains of life surely do not have happiness attached to them. But in and through these moments one can have joy when one recognizes that God is sovereign and God has promised.
"ALL things will work together for good for those who are called according to His purpose."Romans 8:28 There is a huge difference between happiness and joy.. Joy is an attitude of the heart and happiness is an emotion and is temporary. My life has been one of "experiencing people". I have found myself interfacing with literally untold numbers of people since I started in the business and then moved on into the ministry world. It has been my experience as I look out among the vast landscape of people many of which are leaders that the desire to be happy and satisfied is a driving force in their lives. But if you drill down many are not. There is something missing that brings satisfaction and I submit to you it is the combination of joy and happiness. Joy comes in the morning, and from joy flows happiness.
